Attention High School Players (9th grade - 12th grade),

We will once again offer a True Box Lacrosse League for our High School Players. With the growing trend of Canadian players being recruited to NCAA programs and more and more college coaches now having their American players participating in box training, we feel this skill set is becoming more and more important.

This year the Baltimore Crabs, Leading Edge NJ, NXT Lacrosse Club, Patriot Lacrosse Club all have started box training for their club players.

There are so many great benefits to the box lacrosse game but one very important element is for players to work on creativity. Obviously playing in tight space increases stick skills and shooting on a smaller goal helps players develop into more efficient goal scorers and creates better defensive players because everyone needs to play defense and all shorts sticks requires quicker footwork.

Legacy Lacrosse Real Box Lacrosse League.  

Registration will shut off once 144 field players register.  

We will also only accept 12 Goalies (Goalies can play for free) and will be given the Box Goalie Gear to use and instruction on how to play Box Goalie.  

BOX LACROSSE LEAGUE PAYMENT:
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPTION TO PAY NOW OR PAY LATER WHEN YOU REGISTER:

If you select the pay later option, payment can be made in January for the Box League.
You can also pay at the time of registration if you choose.

PHILLY INDOOR BOX LACROSSE CHAMPIONSHIPS:
FEBRUARY 8TH/9TH, 2014
We will select 1 team of 9th/10th graders and 1 team of 11th/12th graders from the league to participate in this indoor box championship. The Coaching staff from the Box League will select the top players from the league and these players will be invited. There will be no fee to participate in the Box tournament if selected. Players will need to only pay for travel and hotel stay. League will cover the player registration fee.
We will make the player selections over Xmas Break and players will be notified they have been selected prior to Dec. 31st.

Legacy Real High School Box Lacrosse League

All players in the league will be required to attend the 1st / two instructional sessions where we will bring in high level Real Professional Box Lacrosse Players to teach how the game is to be played. We will not just let the players go out and play. Not how we do things here at Laxachusetts lacrosse. We are all about top instruction and highest quality of play.

League details:

We will take the first 144 total players to register and we will create 12 even weighted teams with each team having a roster of 12 players.  

We will take 12 Goalies total for the league (Goalies will be provided real box goalie gear to wear)

• All games will be played at the South Shore Sports Center
  (55 Recreation Drive, Hingham, MA.)
• All games will be coached by a Laxachusetts coach every Sunday
• All games will be 2 /22 minute running time halves   
• All games will have 2 referees
• Scorekeeper at all games   
• League will have 12 teams (12 field players per team)
• All games will be played with real box goals and box goalies   
• Goalies will be provided Real Professional Box Goalie Gear   
• All players use short sticks (no long sticks allowed)
• 5 on 5 play     
• League will consist of 13 games 
• There will be playoffs and a Championship   
• League games (incl playoff and Championship) will be on the following dates 11/24, 12/11, 12/8, 12/15, 12/22, 1/5, 1/12, 1/19, 1/26, 2/1, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23
• 144 players in the league   
• All teams will have rosters on League web site with player photo
• Web site will keep players stats, league leaders, and playoff leaders
• Games will be at the South Shore Sports Center on Sundays   
• Game times will be 800am, 850am, 940am, 1030am, 1120am, and 1210pm 
• Cost per player for the League will be $325.00   
• All players receive a Custom Legacy Box Jersey
• All player, team and league highlights will also be posted on BostonLax.net
