High School Skills Session Description:

This high school skills program is designed for the athlete who desires to take her lacrosse game to the next level. We believe that players often spend so much time playing full field games, that they often overlook the fundamental skills necessary for their future success. Through creative drills and progressive stick work, our athletes will learn to perform at a higher level. Our innovative curriculum will teach them skills in many different ways, through game like situations. Our skills program will focus on these fundamental lacrosse skills and lacrosse IQ through up-tempo, high intensity, collegiate level drills. Players should expect this to be an intense 90 minute session to develop more advanced skills. Our energetic, passionate and experienced coaching staff wants to take your game to the next level!

Format:

30 Minutes: Stick work. Stick work. Stick work! The best lacrosse players in the country have the best stick work! We will put our athletes through many rigorous and creative stick work drills, to challenge and increase their level of skill.

30 Minutes: Skills of the day. Every week, we will focus on a specific aspect of the game of lacrosse. Athletes will be put through small space, game-like drills with this skill as the primary focus. It is our goal to increase our athletes "lacrosse IQ" so they can immediately transfer these skills to their games.

30 Minutes: PLAY BALL! Scrimmages will be structured so athletes will get maximum playing time and touches on the ball. Games will vary between full field and 7v7 formats while utilizing both small and regulation sized lacrosse cages to improve shot accuracy and power. Teams will have coaches to help transfer focused skills to games.
